Samoshkin Nikolay

If you need more than just an executor — someone who can take on complex technical and business challenges, from equipment audits to launching new products on the market — let me introduce myself.

My name is Nikolay Samoshkin. I was born in 1989 in Alma-Ata, then the capital of the Kazakh SSR, and spent my childhood and youth in independent Kazakhstan. My interest in technology and nature emerged early: alongside my studies at the lyceum, where I earned a secondary specialized degree in Programming, I attended elective courses at the Chemistry Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh State University — it was there that my environmental thinking, understanding of environmental chemistry, and monitoring methods took shape. Later, I graduated from the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA campus) with a degree in Economics and Management in the Construction Industry, which added a systemic perspective to project and financial management.

Today I live in Moscow, but I travel extensively — both for work and privately. I see with my own eyes the environmental condition of Russia's regions and Central Asia, and I understand local specifics and the real needs of enterprises. Since 2007, I have been working at the intersection of engineering and business: designing, configuring, commissioning equipment, negotiating, and developing business lines from scratch. Today, I am the owner of my own consulting business and offer my services as a freelance expert or partner.

How I Can Benefit Your Business

My specialization is industrial automation, environmental monitoring systems, and ultrasonic flow metering. But my value to clients is broader: I help companies solve complex tasks that require both deep technical understanding and the ability to negotiate.

Technical Consulting and Audit. I conduct pre-project surveys of enterprises, assess the state of automation systems, and help select optimal equipment and technologies. This helps avoid mistakes at the start, save budget, and get exactly what the production actually needs. Thanks to my environmental education, I pay particular attention to emissions, accounting, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Turnkey Project Support. I take on coordination at all stages: from developing technical specifications to installation and commissioning. I work directly with contractors, suppliers, and design institutes. I can read drawings, know the regulatory framework, and can control deadlines and quality.

Equipment Supply and Product Promotion. If you are a manufacturer or distributor of complex equipment (gas analyzers, instrumentation, automation systems), I can represent your interests in a new region, find partners and customers, and conduct technical training for your clients. I have experience launching products in the markets of Russia and Central Asia, including interaction with government structures (Ministry of Ecology, city administrations).

Warranty and Emergency Situation Resolution. I know how to build communication with manufacturing plants (Germany, Israel, Finland, the Netherlands, Russia, etc.) to promptly resolve issues related to warranty, spare parts, and software updates. I can identify the root cause of failures and resolve them remotely or by visiting the site.

Staff Training and Development. I conduct technical seminars and training for engineers and operators: from installation rules to the finer points of configuring complex instruments. I help your employees work more efficiently and safely.

Why You Can Trust Me

I have a substantial background in the industry. I started as an instrumentation technician on the main gas pipelines of Kazakhstan, where I was responsible for safety and metering accuracy every single day. Later, I held engineering and managerial positions in construction companies, at the international corporations Tikkurila and Atlas Copco, and then in official partnerships with SICK Sensors Ltd (Israel) and I.O. Analytical Engineering (Israel). I have worked with equipment from SICK, Endress+Hauser, Siemens, ABB, M&C, Buderus, Bosch, Emerson, Schneider Electric, Danfoss, Swagelok, Desoutter, AtlasCopco and other market leaders.

This experience has allowed me to:

  • Deeply understand process physics, electronics, mechanics, and PLC programming.

  • Manage projects of any complexity — from small upgrades to the construction of energy facilities.

  • Negotiate with top executives and government officials, defending the client's interests.

  • Work in a multicultural environment, communicating with foreign partners in English.

  • Find unconventional solutions where standard ones fail.

I don't just know the theory — I have been to sites hundreds of times, installed, configured, calibrated, and repaired equipment. And I continue to do so, because that is the only way to maintain real expertise.

What You Get by Working with Me

You get not an outside consultant, but an engaged partner who genuinely cares about the result. I value my reputation and build long-term relationships with clients. My primary goal is to ensure your equipment runs reliably, your projects are completed on time, and your employees feel confident.

I am open to various formats of cooperation: one-time consultations, project work for a limited period, part-time engagement, or a full-fledged partnership. I am based in Moscow and am ready for business trips across Russia and beyond.
